The Tour of Duty Begins!

GERMANY | Tuesday, 6 June 2006 | Views [441]

View from Hostel. The Rhine River and Bingen.

The flight was a shocker. It's been a while since I have done a long haul flight and I feel like I have been cramped in a box for 24 hrs. Not to mention my in flight TV monitor did not work. Great, just what I needed.

As we decended into Frankfurt we hear our names get read out over the PA system which has us getting quite nervous wondering what we have done or whether our bags have been lost. As we took one step off the plane some bloke in a suit bails us up and asks for some ticket which we were not able to produce. Apparently someone else forgot to take it off us in Brunei but they did take it off us when we boarded in Bangkok so we managed to get through that one.

Buying a train ticket was then the next hurdle but with the help of the Information desk we figured it out. Our Hostel in Bingen has the most awesome view and we have walked around a bit alreadzy and taken some photo's which I will upload and send out soon.

We are 8 hrs behind here and my mobile is working for those that have it or just send an email to my personal address by sending a message to this blog.
