First day of supply teaching
UNITED KINGDOM | Friday, 15 May 2009 | Views [300]
Friday 15th May was my first day of supply teaching (relief teaching). It was only a half day but it was good way to ease into it. I was at a school east of London, Eastlea Community School. The first class I took was year 7 humanities. Talking to a few people in the staff room they said it would be a challenging class and they weren't wrong!! My next class was art. When I found them, they were outside drawing the flowers from the student run garden. A relaxing last lesson for the day. I've forgotten how hard it is to come into a school and not know where anything is. Monday and Tuesday next week I also have work, hopefully I'll pick up more days later in the week. I'm going to be an expert on getting different places in London with all this travelling. One of the agencies I'm registered with has been applying for lots of jobs for me, most of them are for the start of the school year in September.
