Our world Travel On 10th May 2007 I fled the UK on a journey around the world with a long list of places to go. Got as far as the Philippines where I met my wife. We got married on 11th May 2010 and are now sharing the experiences of travelling the world together

it's hard to say what variety of Lionfish it is because someone has removed it from the water where it belongs, but it is a type of lionfish. Whoever caught it should have released it. They are absolutely beautiful, and they are poisonous so they are better admired from a distance.

Thanks for that. The person who caught it called it a bat fish for obvious reasons. Nice to know that it is actually a lion fish.

I think they planned to eat it. Not sure if that was wise?

that looks like a gurnard. Possibly a helmet gurnard (Dactyloptena orientalis).
