Even women and sometimes children have to work and carry heavy rocks to build the road.

The military junta doesn't help people, so people have do themselve what the governement should do, like building themselve roads to reach further villages all of them are volunteers. The time they spend working on the road is not used to work in the rice paddy fields and tea.

But burmese people are at the opposite of the Governement who lead them. They are open minded, friendly, funny and smily. Even if they have to work hard, as this volunteer building the road to his hill tribe village instead of the governement.
