Living in American Samoa
American Samoa | Saturday, June 8, 2013 | 4 photos
I grew up in small town Nebraska and studied Biology, Spanish, and Religious Studies in college as I have many interests. I have a great passion for service and helping others, which led me to starting up a student-led service group, being involved in various volunteer projects in my communities, and volunteering abroad as a science teacher in American Samoa for a year.
I have developed photography as a hobby. I love trying to capture the reality of every place I find myself including landscapes, feelings, and the people. It began as more or less a memoir for myself, yet it has grown into more than that. I am very interested in culture and nature. I hope that some of the photographs I share with family, friends, and acquaintances help spread my love and appreciation for the world around me - including the sites, the people, and the feelings. We are all citizens of this world; yet, many of us have our cardboard box views, and I used to be one of them. I dream of traveling more, helping people wherever I go, and sharing things I learn through my photography.
