Rural Roots in Southern India

My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

The people of the Lofoten Islands are very dependant on the sea and the mercy of the nature around them. The world famous maelstrom (whirlpool) lies between two of the islands and although the weather in the islands themselves is milder than many areas with similar latitude, it is also somewhat unpredictable and can change suddenly.
