Well, to be so close to Cambodia and be so different really did catch me of guard. I didn't know anything about the city other than the food was good, ping pong shows existed and ladyboys. But actually the city is very western, with its sky train and massive amounts of shopping malls. Bangkok is quite a city. Other than the tourist attractions and shopping there isn't much else for a tourist to do, the people we have met have told us only 3 days here would be fine and then go out of Bangkok and see the beauty of Thailand and tomorrow that is exactly what we're going to do.
