Shantou is not a very good place in China. It's a little hard even for the Chinese from other cities to live here.

Hope all is well with you. I wonder if you are still living in Shantou?

Am from Hong Kong and I will soon live in Shantou for work purpose. I'm sure it must be very few foreigners there and I predic that foreign input are scarce.

I'm not there yet to drop my english. And for I do speak both English and Chinese. Maybe we can start introducing ourselves?

Shantou is one of special economic zone, however, it develops very slow...

There is a place where you can listen Live Music is LA bar, it is located in Rongjiang Road. LA CAFE OR LA BAR is very good environment and good beer. hope you like it!! tell me more about you, Maybe I will introduce to my friend who will stay in ST for a while as well.

Thank you for reply. I saw this bar but never been there.
About me. I'm musician, stay here with my husband, he is also musician. That's why i'm interested to find bars with live music, maybe meet with other musicians in this city.
We want to find how to make life in this city more interesting :) and meet new friends.

pay attention,please!i am the local girl in shantou.u think shantou is not a good place,that is because you dont know how to live here.u couldnt use the local language to communicate.even more,you could eat and taste the best snack food in the world.you cant go the place you unknown.
shantou's weather is the best in south of China,shantou's food is the best.you can buy a lot of fruits and all kinds of vegetables.
i think you would say that it is becasue you didnt go to somewhere worse or worst.dont compare shantou with your city.we could understand you dont like shantou becasue u love you own city and homesick.but do u know that u are giving an unfair fame to shantou online?i am not happy about what you said.if u have the local sweet guide,then you know shantou is better than any one city.

I was borned in shantou, there are more nad more forigners live in shantou, it's a beautiful city, although the life pace is a little slow. Many forigners live here as someone mentioned: for business purpose. But it's really good place , it's better than guangzhou or shanghai. In those high-developed city will feel pressured.

as far as i know there is no any international schools in Shantou, I might be wrong, but shantou people can advise .
