Tianmen Chicken soup

I work in Hubei tianmen very often ,the food is very impressive especially the chicken soup and Gua Kui. Gua kui is special product of Tianmen which looks like the bread. the food here that I like the most is Chicken soup, because the chicken is naturally raised that's why the chicken meat is tasty . the soup I don't really know how to make ,but I just can tell what is it in the soup. Thin noodle,Mushroom ,Ginger and chicken.

( 30 mns by car) Haiyue now is redecorated .

Water is quite clean and it depends on the weather. if it rains a lot, the water may become dirty and full of things float on the water. but yesterday it was pretty clean and it is ok to swim in such hot weather in Shantou.

here you can make a BBQ , there are BBQ equipments for rent .

The high speed train open to Chinese a few ago with a high speed more than 300 km/h, Yesterday I took the train from Nanjing station to Shanghai hongqiao which had cost me 146 Yuan per a ticket. I took the train which in the early departure ( at 6:52 am),the train started to run exactly on time and totally passed five stations and it spent only 1h 48 mini.

Nangjing station----zhengjiang ST----changzhou ST----wuxi ST---suzhou St---Yangchengming St--- Shanghai Hongqiao

Totally 301 km.

high speed train average speed more than 250 km/h

seat: SOFT SEAT

-There are magazines to read on the table

-there are space to put the small suitcase bag on the head

-there are convenient store for selling drinks

-there are toilets

-there are VIP seats which cost you more than 100 yuan, and there are tickets for nob seat ( the passenger can sit whenever the seat is available )

China train becomes the world's fastest train and its developments provide a very convenience for Chinese who can't afford the plane. Presently ,China is building a high speed train throughout the country and as well as in the Southeast Asia region. The high speed saves a lot of time for travelers and it is said that it's safer than airplane.

Taxi at Shantou Airport

I 'm surprised that shantou transportation or Taxi management has a bit improvement . if you have been to Airport in shantou and want to take the taxi to the town, the taxi would ask you at least 50 renminbi without using the Taxi meter and the taxi never take a passenger .they must take at least two people

and then go!

I just came back from Wuhan few days ago ,I arrived at shantou airport was quite late,(23:30), the weather was freezing ,the temperature was nearly 5 Celsius . At the taxi station ,I was surprised to see a police official who was trying to manage and control the taxi drivers and ordered them to Use the taxi meter and take the passenger without asking the high price. I asked to get in many taxies unfortunately ,there were no any taxi's want to take a passenger like me, because they wouldn't earn much just to take a person .

at the same time the police told me and other guests that just to get in the car and stay inside until the driver goes. it's good to have a police there anyway, otherwise the taxi drivers just ignored and do whatever they wanted.

A few minutes later,I got in a taxi and the driver didn't turn on the meter and he asked 40 yuan from AP to the central town. I just didn't want any Complains and just paid them, that's all.

the Management of Taxi in shantou is Messy, We take everyday and most of them never use the taxi meter and they ask the price for whatever they want. Most of the taxi are very old.

sometimes if the govt is strict to them, the taxi drivers go on strike . it's so bad when all the taxi go on strike. We can't reach the office. however I am looking forward to seeing a big change in Taxi and many things in shantou.

Updated:

even thought the police work hard on reform the regulation and force the taxi company to follow the regulation of transportation in china, the most of taxi drivers in the airport remain in the same attitude .the drivers never use the meter and start to say the price whatever they want.

Why is it never change?

the driver complains the government that, the starting price is still low and taxi driver can't survivor with such an expensive expenses and fuel price, however as the guest I am still looking forward to seeing a new change of Shantou taxi before I leave this place.

Ganxie, shantou Jiangtong Jingcha for your workhard.

Plastic bag in shantou

Recently, the wal-mark, Meigan,Dazhong super Markets and other big supermarkets in in the town, they won't giving a free plastic bag for consumers anymore due to a new regulation for saving and environmental protection which is very good idea of Chinese government to order it for reducing plastic bag which are full in the city as the trash.I am sure that many consumers won't spend some Mao to buy the bag which mean the productivity of Bag will reduce.

However, remain some people don't get used on it yet, they forget to bring the bag when they go for shopping, That they have to spend another money for bags.

3 Mao for a plastic bag

2.5-3 Yuan for Pl bag in Walmark.

Best foot massage in Shantou

Shantou city, I have been working here for three years, I am not a local and can't speak Chaoshan .Shantou is one of the best place for sea food,cheap-- I think if anyone has a chance to come to this city , don't miss sea food!! Yes foot massage is one of the best of relaxation in Shantou. There are different types of foot massage in different places, Me and other friends usually go to Haiyi where provides simply foot massage which costs 38Yuan for 70Mn.. Put your foot in the herb with a warm water for a while and then your foot starts to be massaged.you can pick the massager ,The right feet will start and put the oil first and later the left feet starts to massage, left feet always being massaged first, because heart is in the left side. a person who give you a massage usually man will do with woman and women will do with man, oppositely i always asked for a man, because i prefer to have more powerful hands massage on my foot and afterward

your foot will be washed by special alcohol which it is called Yao jiu in Chinese " a kind of herb" and then cover by many warm towels for a while and then..take it off and wash again and clean

In the final step..of relaxation, you can get a simple massage on your Big legs or Neck..

Relax...if you come to Shantou , just don't miss it~~~

Shantou, Hai yi, Hailong and many places i know that there are different massages in other places in Shantou, If anyone have been trying or will be doing the massage.Do not forget to share with me.

Hongkong- Lao passport

For a Lao citizen is required a visa to visit Hongkong, you can make a visa in the Chinese embassy near you , it costs 35 USD for two entries. I am holding a Lao passport and was traveling to Hongkong at the shenzhen 's border checkpoint. it s really piss me off when the officer see my passport and react in strange way.it seems that he has never seen a Lao passport. every time I go to Hongkong, it takes about few minutes to check on my passport and travel records, but others were just a few seconds.. My friend has to stay behind me and let me go first...

I used to cross the border at xiamen airport .the police has checked my passport in a special room .they thought that mine was a fake and they never saw it. because i just got a brand new Lao passport, so it was new for them . i spent about an half hour to wait them..

I went back Laos last year crossed border at the Bangkok international airport, the Thai policeman was piss me off again, He spoke with his colleges when he saw my passport.." He is not look LAO and blabla" he said.. what I should look like, man? I am Lao..

Updated: happened 13.5.2011

When I returned from Italy and I transited at the Munich Airport, I had the first experience with the german police at the Passport control. a Young girl police officer checked my passport and I don't know what was wrong with my picture on my passport. I assumed that the photo wasn't clear or the printed was damaged or something ?so the police asked me to wait at side and she called her colleague. 10 Mins later the young man police came and re-checked the passport again with something, but he remain uncleared about that, so later on the young girl police brought me to the immigration office where she and other officers work.

they started to check my passport again with their supervisor and remain without any answers while I was sitting in front of the office. I had waited there more than 1 h and the polices were disappeared with my passport and after 15 mins the girl came ", it is ok and now you can go, I already stamped on it", said the young police .

That's all? No any explanation? however I was pissed off and fortunately I had a quite late flight to shanghai so it didn't delay my time much.

That was a first experience with police in Europe and it will probably happen again for my next visit and I already get used on it.

Good luck for me and my LPDR passport.
