This is a lady carrying the famous water reeds found in Lago Titicaca. The entire island is made out of these reeds. There are several of these man-made islands. The Uros Floating Islands have been inhabited since their construction centuries ago by Uros Indians who were retreating from more powerful neighbors like the Incas.
