This is on day two of the Inca trail. We saw lots of llamas.

This is the check point for all trekkers. The government checks passports and your permit to be on the Inca Trail. Then you can begin the hiking.

The ´infamous´ Day 2 of the Inca Trail consisted of a 1000m vertical climb over 7km which took 4 hours. This picture was taken about 500m from the top of the mountain pass and we began the day at the very bottom of the valley seen in the distance.
