Ikeshima is an island in the south of Japan that used to be known for its active and prosperous coal mine. Due to a tragic mine accident 10 years ago most people were forced to leave the island due to dangerous levels of pollution. In order to photograph this image I had to climb on the abandoned Toyota invaded by bamboo.
