My Scholarship entry - Aboriginal antiquity...

The flames flicker upwards, waltzing erratically into the brisk evening sky, seducing us with a majestic degree of hypnotic tranquillity. They provide the group with warmth as the months of autumn transition into the colder winter evenings. My breath ascends and diffuses into the air like small clouds of vapour and the cheeks of my comrades alter between copious spectrums of red. Eight hours ago, the faces that I gaze upon were strangers, however, after embarking on an arduous journey into this remote outpost of the planet, we sit around our fire in the most primitive of environments, hundreds of kilometres from civilisation, conversing as if we have been friends for eternity.
I am recounting one of my Tour Guide tales in the vast expanses of the Australian Outback, my name is Jamie. I am an explorer, an adventurer and evolving into a philanthropic journalist. I opt to spend my time highlighting humanitarian issues; travelling from war torn lands to impoverished indigenous communities. I have recently purchased a DSLR and need to be trained in the art of photography to accentuate my work, to provide evocative images that will attract people and raise awareness for my cause.
