Cruising alongside a symbol of Aboriginal antiquity

Hi, I'm Jamie Farquharson, an intrepid explorer; a wandering writer and passionate photographer who ventures to the planets furthest reaches. My journeys take me far beyond the boundaries of the beaten track, via secluded jungles, through active war zones and into the midst of sacred indigenous sites.

My irrefutable passion for culture and history have led me into the remote stretches of the Australian Outback, through the heart of the Kenyan wilderness and onto the furthest flung outposts of the Pacific.

During the course of my adventures I have saved the life of an orphaned baby kangaroo, been tracked by Cuban spies, released rehabilitated Green Sea Turtles into the Atlantic and faced death in the Egyptian Sinai after hitching a ride at 2am from a toothless speeding farmer in a dangerously deteriorating, brake failing minivan.

I have been searched by armed soldiers in war torn pockets of the Middle East, surrounded by troops of tumultuous thieving monkeys, stowed away on a leaking, decaying fishing boat (which I later discovered was bound for an isolated tropical island) and suffered a broken nose after getting too close to an eccentric elephant in South East Asia.

I think its when we are lost and off the beaten track that we truely discover our purpose!
