Another slow day - we continued our poor act as caregivers, until the afternoon when we took off for Home Depot and beyond.
The Home Depot visit was to check their holdings of push (hand) mowers, known to the Americans I think as reel mowers, but they only had one, a Fiskars branded model at around $200 (for a hand mower - really ?). We've found one on Craigs List in Annandale which we'll look at on Sunday (advertised at $35) and simply wanted to examine the quality of the new ones, before checking this second hand one to judge if the difference in price is worthwhile. We'll go to the Annandale meeting, cold.
After that we called in at Bed, Bath and Beyond (a store specialising in bedroom, bathroom and all sorts of sundry pieces of kit), but found nothing of value there and proceeded at our leisurely pace to the Library, to kill time waiting for Leanne to finish work so we could get some groceries from Giant and meet her out the front.
That all happened the way we planned and we finished the day with a takeout dinner, from the Asian Rice restaurant.
