We were dropped off at Home Depot today, so we could pick up some light fitting brackets. We had taken down a few of the brass light fittings in the house, with a view to painting them in an oil rubbed bronze finish and found when we did so, that the fittings were very poorly secured to the ceiling. Leanne was sure that the corrective brackets we needed, were available at Home Depot and she was correct.
On the way home, we called into Target for something else (probably an umbrella, which we didn't get), but when we emerged it was raining - lightly, but enough to get very wet on the walk home and sure enough, that's what happened !
We arrived back at our front door, feeling very soggy right down to our socks.
One of the next tasks was to start cutting out some shelves for a kitchen cupboard, the bathroom and ensuite. We had picked up a Ryobi jigsaw at Home Depot in Woodbridge when we were there last Sunday, to help with the cutting out of these shelves but when I unpacked it, the saw was clearly not new. It had paint spots all over it and there was plenty of saw dust around to indicate it was a used item. It'll have to be exchanged for another, but it meant that the shelving job was postponed for a while.
The rest of the day was more or less spent in navel contemplation.
