This Dassanatch elder sat on his stool like a king on a throne, proudly watching over his village.

After a German tourist snapped his photo, this toddler grabbed the camera to look at his image on the back screen. His friends all crowded around to see the picture while the tiny boy laughed with delight.

This young woman was striking in a sea of yellow as she waited in a market to sell her jugs of water. When I asked her about her t-shirt, she threw her head back and laughed.
