Baye Anna inserts nito(black vine) into a woven plate of buri to incorporate their patterns and designs. Baye Anna is considered one of the best and most learned among the Hanunuo Mangyans in terms of weaving baskets and fabric.

A young woman of the Hanunuo Mangyan tribe begins to weave buri, a type of palm into a basket. She is one of the last of her generation who continues to learn the endangered tradition of basket weaving.

Baye Omeng sets the cotton fibers as the warp on the loom that has been passed down for generations. She relays that they consider this loom to be one of their prized possessions.
