My long-standing love affair with photography began in high school, where my affection blossomed in the dark room as I discovered the beauty of black and white and spent countless hours on photo shoots with my best friend as a model. Those early impressions left me with an unquenchable thirst for more. Now I enjoy photography as a way to capture the beauty of my everyday surroundings and to uncover the allure of the places I visit abroad, toting my digital camera with me as a quintessential appendage to Spain, France, Denmark, Austria, Mexico, Morocco and Turkey. My travels always provide me with inspiration to document candid moments of how others live and experience the world. I would love to forge my passion for writing and photography into a travel writing and photography freelancing career. The marriage of these two mediums of creative expression is what makes me feel most alive. With my words and images, I would like to cultivate a moment in which people linger a little longer. I want people to recognize something deep within themselves when they look at my work, to open a window into another world and into their soul at the same time. I want them to be transported.
