We had a wonderful day in Littlehampton on Tuesday. On the recommendation of fabulous fellow Brightonians Katie and Alex, just back from their trip to Cape Town (8 months to get down, 12 hours to get back) we took Oddy along the coast for a final once over.
Jonathan at Deep South Land Rovers was a true gent, and seemed to really know his stuff. After looking over her patiently, he reassured us that Oddy is in great nick, especially for a 32 year old, and needs only minor tweaks before she's ready to go.
Later we walked along the seafront and under a rainbow to the new(ish) East Beach Cafe, cunningly designed to resemble a pebble, or, as one proud local put it when we asked directions, "What? That thing that looks like a turd?"
So cruel, it wasn't nearly that bad. And they did do a damn good carrot cake.
