Nearing the Black Hmong village, we encountered some muddy, but friendly little faces.

Along the muddy, wintery trek, a mother with her baby safely bundled in fabric, stops to collect dry grass and wrap it around her hand.

Once we arrive there is an annual festival taking place, where people from surrounding villages join to participate in wholesome games, such as this one where the aim is to reach the flag at the top of a pole.
