We have finally started our trip and have landed safely in Mexico City.
Our Hotel with an ´S´ is in a very central location just off the main square. Zocalo.
Woke up very eary at 4am, body clocks all out of sync. We wandered around the city all day and saw lots of wonderful things. Raising of the flag in the main square, Lots of taco stalls, a full on demonstration with music and dancing - it was about privatising the oil industry we think. For lunch we went to Penny´s Reccomended restaurant Condesa DF which was all very cool, Condesa the area is like shorditch in London we think.
Very few tourists so far, we seemed to be the only tourists on the underground system. People seem friendly though.
I had an upset tummy in the afternoon so had to make a dash back to the Hostel. yuk.
Diet not going very well - I asked for the marrow on the menu thinking it was going to be nice and healty, instead i got a bowl of marrow FAT! mmmmmm
