My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

O-mikuji, or ‘sacred lot’ tied to a metal wire line outside Otowasan Kiyomizudera Temple. O-mikujis are small strips of paper with fortunes written on them found at most shrines throughout Japan. Those fortunes that are bad tend to be left behind and tied to the metal wiring. However, some may tie good fortunes as well to increase the effect of their own.
