We took the mini bus to Chang Khong today, taking about 6 hours. The drive was BEAUTIFUL. so lush and nice. We were driving through a valley with mountains on both sides. In this valley there were many types of agriculture with people out working the fields. Julia and I both bought books to read at a used book shop this morning in Chiang Mai, so we read those for a bit. The place we're staying tonight is.... well, alright for a night. the dinner provided was delicious, and we're all out on a covered veranda overlooking the Mekong River. Tomorrow we take the slow boat to Luang Prabang, and either there or in Vang Vieng might meet up with some girls Julia knows. THe people in our minibus today and the people staying here are quite lovely and we will have a great next two days floating down the river with them. :)
ANyway, on to LAOS!!
