    After a-4-days wedding ceremony of my friend, and having a quality time with his family, I decided to learn more of India. Except sightseeing and meditating in temples, I loved being involved (as a volunteer) in Sri Krishna Children orphanage. Spending evenings at the orphanage, getting to see their amazing personalities and feel like I was a big sister made me feel at home. Every child I met touched my heart so deeply and in such a way that I have never experienced a feeling like that. I enjoyed telling them nice and cute stories, playing educational games, showing the pictures from the countries I had been. by: happyindia Views[218] After two hours of rituals, they are announced as husband and wife. Bride and groom repeated the sacred pledge of marriage and request Agni to be the messenger for their prayers to various Gods, for Santati (children), Sampatti (wealth & prosperity) and Deergharogya (long & healthy lives). by: happyindia Views[202] This is one of the many rituals of wedding ceremony. Welcoming the groom and the family. The bride’s father washes the groom’s feet. And then the bride’s family greet them with Aarati and sweets, as a symbol of happiness and good tidings to come and escort them to the wedding hall. by: happyindia Views[237] As a child used to watch Bollywood movies and always wanted to be a part of a Hindu wedding! My dream came true after 20 years. (My chances to see other Western country movies during USSR was very limited) This is my friend's wedding in Bangalore city. We met in one of the intercultural projects in Europe. After one year of cooperation, he invited me to witness a truly Hindu wedding! by: happyindia Views[299]
