I've been thinking of questions that i need answers to, nothing earth shattering like the meaning of life, but more mundane things like can i get a refund on my TV license? lol
So here is my list of questions, if i find the answers i will post them, if you know the answer, please let me know. Thank you.
1)Who do i need to inform that i am leaving?
-Inome tax people?
Yes, phone your local tax office (your payrole dept will know the number)and you need to fill in a P85. You cannot send this back till you have a P45 to send with it though.
-Council (voting and community tax)
-Let Ireland know i have arrived?
-Bank?
2)Need to organise cancelling gas and electric and taking final readings
3)Set up a redirect on my post
4)Can i get a refund for my TV license, as i have paid up till november?
Yes you can, but only on full quarters. Google tv license and it takes you to the website and you download a form to fill in to cancel and claim a refund for unused months
Then of course there is a massive list things i need to do before i go, not least of all buy my tickets!
1) write a will
All booked for 21 april
2)Set up direct debits to cover bills
3)Change microchip address for the cats
4) get the cats injections up to date
5)MOT the car
6)Start packing
On a positive note, I have finally got round to sending my passport away for renewal and hopefully, tomorrow (11/03/09) i will find out my leaving date at work.
If you read the list and think of anything i need to do, people i need to inform or just general info i might find usefull, please let me know.
