How all Sunday's should be

UNITED KINGDOM | Monday, 13 October 2008 | Views [294] | Comments [1]

We hired bikes just outside of Blenheim, and decided today was the day to do our wine tour by bike into the wine region of Renwick in Malborough. A gorgeous day weather wise, we cycled to various vineyards and stop for a free tastings. Let me tell you this could be leathel.  We only stopped at 5 vineyards but you seem to make your way down the list at each place. I decided to buy a gold winning bottle at Gibsons Bridge which is not available in the UK.

To top off this idealic Sunday, I had a roast dinner at one of the vineyards restaurants.  I really wanted lamb but they only had beef on the menu. This is what Sundays should be about!

Can't believe you could not get lamb in NZ for your first roast dinner! Reminds me of the story of an England cricketer who on being told there was no bacon for breakfast, is supposed to have said "30 million sheep in NZ and you cannot get me any bacon"!!
