    Willy, my home-stay 'brother', a local coconut vender. He collected coconuts from the nearby forest and chilled them in a fridge. He then cut the husk off them and prepared them for drinking. His friends would then come by bike and collect the coconuts to sell around town and make a small profit. As you can see from this photo his garage was the local 'hang-out' spot of the neighborhood. All day people would come and go, without a care in the world! by: gypsy_trotter Views[398] Willy, my home-stay brother. Here he is painting the photo I took of the San Blas church after seeing the photo on my camera. Art was his thing, he was obsessed with painting and listening to eighties music, like David Bowie and ACDC. The house I was living in with him and his 83-year-old monther was filled with his paintings. He later gifted this one to me. by: gypsy_trotter Views[384] The town alcoholics in Nicoya. This friendly bunch started having a little chat with me while I was photographing the church you just saw, and then asked me to take a photo of them. I obliged straight away, of course. by: gypsy_trotter Views[286] San Blas Church in the colonial town of Nicoya. You will see this exact photo being painted by someone later in this album. by: gypsy_trotter Views[634] Jorge and a neighbouring school girl who always came over after classes were peeling oranges in preparation for pressing. Later the juice was bottled and sold around town by a friend with a basket and ice-cooler on front of his bike. by: gypsy_trotter Views[540]
