Well here we are into our second week of our Kimberley trip. Having a
great time even though it’s quite hot, around 38 most days, mind you it was a
lot hotter in the Bungles; they tell us it’s up to 5 degrees hotter. The road
into the Bungles it the worst road we have been on, it took us two & half
hours to do 50k.Spent 3 days there could have spent more as we didn’t get to do
the over night walk but it was to hot we did all the others.
We have canoed in Katherine Gorge done the walks in
the Bungles and lots of site seeing. For the last three days we have been
veging by a river at a place called Mambi
Island which is between Wyndham &
Kununurra on the Ord
River. The cattle have
been visiting our camp site a few times every day and the fresh water Croc’s
have kept us entertained while we have been sitting on our banana lounges
reading and napping. We are off to the Gibb River Road tomorrow. Will keep you
up dated when we have range.
Cheers to you all
Yvonne & Colin
