After living the lavish life in Koh Tao we had to leave at some point. This time to another country! Our visa in Thailand was running out so we had to do a visa run. That meant taking a boat, bus, another boat and voila, we're in Burma! All in just six hours. You sail across a tunnel to a 5star resort stay for a half an hour long enough to get your stamp out of Thailand and in again. So we can check Burma of our list now!
But it wasnt all fun. We had to wait in Ranong after the bus at a very run down bus terminal for several hours. They couldnt sell us tickets as they did'nt know if there was room for the bus. so we wait, and wait and then wait some more. Bus arrives two hours late and just as we can start looking forward to getting out of that hell hole the ticket guy says it's full! I swear we died a little bit inside. To say we were frustrated would be a great understatement! I (kiddi) nearly had a meltdown. So they say if we're willing to stand for the first 30km we can get on it. Being very tired we just got on it ad crammed us between the seat. I swear i could see a little tear in Gunna's eye. But thankfully there ended up being two seats so everything worked out in the end! hurra!
After that ordeal we thought we'd end up in Phuket. Eh turns out Phuket has turned into a swedish colony! Everything is swedish, even the menus in restaurants! Not so charming!
We had a very weird experience yesterday. We went into Adidas to look for a sportsbra for Gunna and swimtrunks for me. The lady starts by saying to me when i ask if they have anything else than what she showed me and I quote "no you have to go to gay shop for that" Hehe can't say that it surprised me as one sales person in Bangkok said to me when i asked about some shorts that they were for girls or for my gay friend haha! So funny, but anyway so Gunna found a sportsbra she wanted to try on. The lady said no! It was to small and she couldnt even try it on, then Gunna asked if she could just buy it then. Again the answer was no! We left the store in shock!! We looked at each other and asked what the hell had just happened! ;-)
We're suffering a bit today. We painted the town pink last night. Went to see a drag show and it was so funny and good. The people here are pretty crazy! In a good way...
As i write this Gunna is still in bed. Its six in the evening. Better go feed her and change her so I can drag her out clubbing again tonight!
