    The climb is worth it to catch the view from here in the dying minutes of perfect light. Every second seems precious as I attempt to capture the sheer beauty of the place. It sent tingles down my spine. by: graeme Views[252] Crawling through a tight window and into pitch blackness. My Heart racing as I move quickly through the room and into the corridor. Passing more sinister doorways on both sides. It all washes away though when I come to this impressive staircase. Speechless, on autopilot setting up my tripod with my jaw dropped. by: graeme Views[332] When it rains the old drainage system floods and spent spray paint cans float to the surface. Beautiful reflections and lines of symmetry holds my attention whilst I dismiss every strange sound as “the wind” or “old creaky building noises”. by: graeme Views[297] Just as the sun starts to set over the beach the light streams in and casts epic shadows across the sandy floor. Graffiti covers almost every surface, it’s quite the art gallery. by: graeme Views[282] Meet South Fremantle Power Station. Closed in 1985 it was stripped of all of its machinery, leaving only an empty shell of a building behind. It’s a massive structure that looks almost prison like from the beach not 300 yards away. Once you step inside though the sheer scale and magnitude of the cavernous structure becomes palpable. Even more so with the knowledge of the history of murders and suicides that have taken place in the years since it was abandoned. by: graeme Views[851]
