Photography has been a passion of mine since my dad bought me my first camera. I'm a web designer by trade but my dream is to become a travel photographer and so combine two of by greatest passions in life. 

What makes me tick is traveling and the thrill of exploring and experiencing new places. Meeting new and interesting people along the way, learning from different cultures and capturing moments in time as I see and feel them. I love photography as it is one of my most powerful tools I have to express myself.

I came across this competition looking for advice on how to break into travel photography. This process has taught me a lot already and I’m eager to learn more. I have taken many great photos which stand alone but where's the story?  I've spent hours analysing not only from a creative but also journalistic perspective which is something I haven’t done before. 
 
The possibility of being  mentored by Jason is an opportunity of a life time for me. My desire is that my photos touch a larger audience and for that audience to be possibly moved and inspired by them. Winning this scholarship would be the foot in the door to starting the career of my dreams.
