About gracehenley
Camels are a 'little' restless as the handlers line them up at the starting line ready for their big race.
I’m a multi-passionate entrepreneur at heart with many projects pulling me in all directions.
Big breath now- I’m an Apple & Nikon Fan Girl, Podcast & Audiobook Fanatic, Insomniac, Workaholic, Informationaholic and soon to be Travel Writer, Photographer and Filmmaker Extraordinaire!!
Oh and my dirty little secret- I’m completely and utterly obsessed with motorhomes. My escape from Uluru plan will involve some form of RV!!
Hi there, I’m Grace! I’m based in the heart of Australia’s red centre in a little known town called Yulara. You might know the area better if I refer to it as Ayers Rock or Uluru. And no I don’t live in Alice Springs and Alice Springs is not where Uluru is. Alice is actually over 450km away! It’s ok though- you’re not the first person to make the mistake. Also ignore that my profile has Alice Springs as it didn’t give me Yulara as an option:-)
A quick rundown of where I’ve been- Born in the Philippines, moved to Kin Kin, Australia when I was 3, did my schooling in Bundaberg and flew the nest as quickly as I could. I started my high flying hospitality career in Brisbane where it followed me to the Gold Coast and then to Yulara where I worked my butt off to save my first travel fund.
2008 with my round the world ticket in hand I left for Hawaii, LA, New York, Miami, Jamaica then London where I lived and worked for 10 months. London was where I bought my first DSLR a Nikon D80 with 18-200mm lens. Early 2008 I managed to snag a job on Queen Victoria and spent 7 months travelling Europe by sea! It was awesome! After a pit stop to the Gold Coast, I returned to Yulara in December 2010.
Fast forward to 2014 and I’m 26, working as an Executive Assistant by day and a photographer (amongst other things) at night.
I’m currently studying Travel Writing, Photography & Filmmaking with MatadorU which is going swell.
I’m also slowly working on creating a location independent lifestyle… that's where the RV comes in:-)
Cheers,
Grace
