Fhiskey - Nanu Redkar. Fisherman. Has been fishing since 30 years, but due to frail body and old age, fishes near the beaches just for his wife and son. Happy to give fishing lessons if you tell him you are a whiskey fan. Sipping on some whiskey has been his oldest and the most important fishing ritual which he strictly follows before stepping in to the waters. The Universal High - Ella Hannon. Globe trotter, follows trance music all around the world. Loves Goa, stays here as long as the visa can permit her to. Refused to be photographed at first maybe because she didn’t want anyone to see her cry, let alone take a photo. But later reveled that it was a very personal moment as she was letting out all the negativity and replacing it with the positive energy the universe had to offerFor it is god who works in you to will - Ujwal Kaka. Member of Maharashtra state oldest bhajan (religious songs)singing group. Comes to Goa along with his troupe, depending on the religious festivals. Seeking god through singing and chanting. It’s a tradition passed on by his father. And he wishes his son to follow the same. The hesitant hippie - Sonali Shah. She’s caught in a dilemma whether to deny the accusation, but without a doubt, the smile is a confessing one. Presently a travel writer by profession in India, she dreams of living in Spain.Nature Child - Olga. Nudist. Works in Ukraine as a bartender and sells photographs taken during her stay in Goa. Believes in living the natural way, as god meant it to be. But as it is frowned upon in India, goes to the farthest location on the beach to relax and bask in the sun. More than happy to tell you about the nude beaches in Ukraine and the world around.I have a keen sense of observation and the only way I can let people know about this, without freaking them out is through photography. Photography has helped me break barriers which I had built growing up. I was introverted and shy, I used to live in my own world, criticizing people from the moment I met them. But living like this left me uninterested in life and I knew that unless there were some drastic changes in the way I function, I wouldn’t be able to gain more from life.

Meanwhile, I had developed a strong liking for photography as I felt very comfortable and happy taking pictures with my perspective without anyone judging me. Photography was the only thing I was hanging on to. But I soon realized that in order to achieve more I had to get out of my cocoon, experience the world as it is. That’s when my journey of self transformation began. I quit my job at an engineering unit, invested all the money that I had on a second hand DSLR and set out to travel the southern states of India. With no pre-requisite and judgment I set out for a 3 month journey which was about to change my perspective on life.

Though there’s a lot that I’ve learnt along the way the one thing that I would like to mention is about the joy I get when somebody lets me into their world. It’s when I see their eyes sparkle, irrespective of how/where humans live we are able to relate ourselves to this moment. This opens up all the ports to all the parallel universes that exist. I want my photographs to do this to become a dimension for the world to correlate, I want them to bring out this urge to travel by making everyone curious about what’s on the “other side”. This I am able to document by having a page on Facebook called Godmanus (translates into gods man).
