my adventures in southeast asia this journal is going to be a documentation of my travels and experiences in se asia this summer. i will be traveling with my university (of which i am a recent alumna), and touring the countries of vietnam, laos, cambodia, and thailand.

well the only thing i got to do on my holiday was mow. i spent probably about an hour and a half push mowing my lawn (my dad was also push mowing the whole time with me... shows you what a horrible idea push mowing my lawn really was) in the almost 90 degree sun. after that i went to mow, trim, and blow at the house i am flipping. needless to say it has been a really long day (i just got to my house at about 11 pm) and i am exhausted. all in all though it was a great day. i feel like i got some stuff done and i was lucky enough to be out of the house most of the day, which i am always happy about. i am also currently on the daniel fast. it is a partial fast that daniel undertook in the bible. it is not only a fast from food,  but also a spiritual fast to become closer to God. it is only day 4, but it has been going well. the food portion is very hard, just because the diet is very restrictive, but i am already forming some very good spiritual habits and am excited to see the final outcome of the fast in 17 more days!
