My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am a nineteen-year-old aspiring photographer from Melbourne Australia. My immense interest in photography started when I was 16, when I brought my first Canon DSLR. Since then my passion for photography has grown, through many different aspects and has changed me as a person.

I have travelled extensively, to different countries, learning greatly about many different cultures and way of life around the globe. Through these trips with family and on my own, my great interest in the differences between people, cultures and ways of life has expanded to an immeasurable amount.

My biggest passion in a photography aspect is capturing moments in time or experiences that I have gone through with individuals, which can be seen in my photos. My immense interest in photo journalism and capturing moments in time, has worked well with my trips over seas and allows me to get up and close to individuals and capture something interesting that I see within the individual.

I would love to win this photography competition as it would be my all time dream and would really put me where I want to be in life. I would love to work with Jason Edwards as he is so like-minded and I would be able to learn a great wealth of knowledge through this amazing once in a life-time experience. I would also be able to create great moments in time on this trip through my photographs of a foreign place, which is my absolute passion. This trip would also help me gain a better understanding of the Oman people and their way of life, which is the biggest part for me.
