Capturing a moment in the Tiwi life, a young girl and her mother at their house. The Tiwi culture is rarely photographed, especially intimate moments like this.

This was taken on the Tiwi Islands, north of Darwin, Australia. I had a unique opportunity to get to know these people and capture their culture and way of life.

Three Tiwi's having a giggle at me taking a photo of them as they play outside, as they had never really seen one before or had photographs taken of them. The closeness within the Tiwi culture and community, is one that is unexplainable or replicated in the western society.
