The world appears to evolve at different speeds. Caught in the mire of smartphones, 30 mbs internet, the latest flic, the coolest gadgets, and the newest thingamajig that marketers will convince us to buy, we often forget to see that some people simply do not form part of "our world".
Chiapas is Mexico's poorest state. Tucked away in the highlands of dense forests lie two towns: San Cristobal de las Casas and San Juan Chamula. These appear to be stuck in time, evolving at a snail's pace. Yet their authenticity and the kindness of the people that inhabit these towns is refreshing and even breathtaking.
