My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Canada | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos

My name is Andrew-Wesley Fullerton. My interest in photography peaked as soon as I was able to crawl up to the wall-unit, pull out the family albums and observe meticulously all these photographs of familiar faces. What fascinated me more was the inverted colors of the negatives then the actual photos themselves!
I am now 33 years old and a photo assignment for National Geographic Explorer has always been a dream of mine. Photography is something I've always made sacrifices for in my life. My passions in life have always been deep rooted within the Arts. I love photography because it grants me the privilege to express myself and explore new experiences from my perspective. I have developed a special & unique technique to shooting, where I combine my martial arts skills with my photography. When I’m shooting I constantly remind myself that photography is both a Science & Art form combined. I’m driven to take a better shot because I understand that I’m working with light vibrations. When people see my work I want to connect with their emotions. To go all around the world and back again, to be a National Geographic Travel Photographer is where I want my photography to take me.
