Marvelous Melbourne

From the observation deck on the Eureka Tower, 88 floors above the street. This is the highest observation deck in the Southern Hemisphere, 285 metres or 935 feet above ground. In this picture you can see the shadow of the Tower, pointing out to the Dandenong Ranges east of the city. The Yarra River is below, with the Royal Botanic Gardens on the right side and the sporting precinct on the left bank. The Sports Precinct features seven stadiums and arenas, plus another 8 tennis courts. From the left are: the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Rod Laver Arena (Australian Open Tennis), Hisense Arena (multiple sports & events) and AAMI Park on the right (rugby & soccer).
