Over in the City Centre, where I was staying and most shops and commercial activities take place. Lots of pedestrianised streets and laneways. This was a Sunday but it's not too much busier any other day of the week...

Good example of the city maps often seen around town, showing part of the triangle layout on one side of the lake, what they call the Parliamentary Zone. Parliament House is at the top, Old Parliament House in the middle, and then the bottom left are the High Court and National Art Gallery, and bottom right is the National Library. The other red buildings are mostly government offices and ministries.

Ahh the view from the opposite end, in front of the War Memorial: looking down Anzac Parade to the lake, the INXS stage, national lawn, Old Parliament House and new Parliament House.
