The windows above the foyer; virtually all the piping and air conditioning is in the floor, there are few maintenance features in the ceiling or roofs to keep the weight down.

The split levels at the front of the house, facing the harbour; the purple foyer is often used for press conferences and receptions. The tour guides like to tell the story of how Pavarotti refused to enter the room as purple was (or is) an unlucky colour, and thus his reception had to be held elsewhere...
