Sydney Day 2: Hyde Park Barracks, ANZAC, Pylon, Olympic Park AND Luna Park

A close-up of the Archibald Fountain at the north end of Hyde Park. It was built to commemorate the partnership of France and Australia in World War 1, with money coming from a local newspaper owner after whom the fountain was named. The design is based on Classical Greek and Roman themes and has very fine detail. Apparently it is one of the most impressive public fountains in Australia.
