The pedestrian pathway along the Sydney Harbour Bridge offers extremely dramatic views, as one would expect, with a caged-in feel thanks to the fences to stop jumpers. On my bridge climb the most challenging part was the angled beam in the centre of the photo, which has a ladder on the opposite side we had to climb. That beam is one of three sections of the ladder. It was narrow and steep but we were hooked into the safety line the entire time on the bridge. At the very top of the photo you can see a group of climbers on their way up the arch; I took the same route.
