It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A!

HONG KONG | Tuesday, 15 January 2008 | Views [583]

Dave here - we arrived the The Stansbury Hotel about midnight last night.  The Hotel is operated by the YMCA, but this is not your Daddy's Y.  The hotel is across the street from the convention center and close to the harbor.  We have a corner room with a 90 degree curved widow looking out of the city and harbor.  It is a two room suite.  Some views posted in picture section.  It has a business college on the 6th floor, and nice but reasonably priced meals and services.

Another excellent flight on Asiana from Korea to Hong Kong after the layover.  The in-flight meal was an excellent seafood dish.  The stewardesses constantly are coming up and dowh the isle with coffee, tea or water after the regular beverage service.  Moving through the Hong Kong airport was smooth and efficeint, and we quickly hooked up with the hotel bus service for the ride to town.

The ride from the airport afforded many beautiful views of the city at night - and a quick ride into the Disneyland hotel facility to drop off some of the riders. The mouse is ubiquitous.

The girls are now waking up after a good sleep in, so we will start planning our day here shortly.
