Waiting at the Airport in Seoul

CHINA | Monday, 14 January 2008 | Views [431] | Comments [1]

We are on a layover between Beijing and Hong Kong in Seoul, Korea. I know this doesn't make sense, but that's air travel for you.  Today is a travel day - packing up our 12 suitcases and spending time on planes and at airports. We are all feeling a little tired and grumpy.

Just a few comments today.

First, Mackenzie thinks we should travel on Asian airlines more often - the food and service is better.  Today we are flying Asiana - a Korean airline, which served a huge hot lunch on our less than 2 hour flight. Air China food also far outshown the US Air offering of room temperature pasta.

Did I mention the olympic symbol for the Beijing olympics? It is really very clever. It is the character for Beijing but written in a way that it looks like a running man.  Quite cute.

I also wanted to make mention of coke products over here.  Do you remember those flip tops we used to use that totally detached from the can?  That is what you get here for Coca Cola Light and other products - not the ones we have that stay on.  I forgot how difficult it was to get them off, or maybe is my reduced motor skills since the great horswe accident.

Keep the comments and emails coming. I am trying to get the girls to blog more - they are both doing pretty well at keeping journals but a little reluctant to write on-line. THey do love to skype their cousins and granparents, though.

I am soooooooooooooo happy for you all but just a tad jealous. Try not to get too tired. Enjoy this wonderful opportunity.
I'll keep up with you via your journal.
