Festival Hall and Horse bath

Both of these are in the Sound of Music but also happen to be among my favourite places here in Salzburg. They are both actually carved right out of the mountain. The festival hall was originally the riding school and the horses were led out of the large doors at the end over to the horse bath. Of course now it hosts all of Salzburgs main theatre and musical events including the summer Salzburg festival made famous in the Sound of Music. The stone carved out was also used in the creation of the Dom.
