Newfie in Antarctica

About felixdnp

I'm a 25 year old stone mason from St. john's Newfoundland. When i turned 19 i moved to British Columbia and got into pilot school but quickly ran out of money to fund it so i started working at a cherry farm while still in school. I met so many trvelers at the farm that i decided it was something i had to do so i put school on hold and quickly got a job at a ski resort as a lift attendant. I than made some friends that convienced me to go work with them at a summer resort called Wilderness Tours as a white water rafting guide and on a bungee tower on the Ottawa river. I did that for a few years then decided to move to New Zealand. After working for a while as a mason apprentice (My original trade) i took some time off and long boarded from Queenstown to Auckland and flew to Bangkok to meet my best friend and backpack around south east Asia for six weeks then flew back to Auckland and long boarded back to my home in New Zealand. Juring this time i had become quite a bit obsessed with taking wildlife photos and after i injured myself rock climbing in Wanaka, New Zealand and had to move back to St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada to get surgery i decided to take a photography course and started saving for the Antarctica trip. Just having the chance to learn from a true nat geo pro in such an environment as Peru would be life changing to say the least. But hey, even getting my portfolio reviewed would be another step forward. Thanks for reading and may the force be with you, sincerely Felix Pope.
