The Journey

Kenneglenn Nature Preserve, East Aurora, NY

USA | Monday, November 24, 2014 | 5 photos

I grew up wanting to be a Paleontologist, digging up dinosaurs in the fringes of the world. I was always digging holes in my yard hoping to find something. Earth is my home, my playground and backyard. At some point I got a camera in my hands. This gave me power to document and show others how I see the world and share fascinating or rare moments. To tell the story of whats in the frame.

I'm self taught and have been shooting for a little over 4 years. When I first got my camera I took a liking to astrophotography and deep space imaging. This humbling study taught me how to use my camera and how to edit images. My focus however is nature and adventure oriented photography. The world is full of amazing moments happening every day. With all the smartphones out there everybody can be a photographer. Even still there are too few "explorers" left and most of these moments go unseen.

I'm an explorer. I've always believed I can go anywhere and do anything. I have a camera that I can take with me into the world to capture all the people and cultures, animals, plants, mountains and jungles, I hope to use photography to share the wonders that I see to help save the wonders that are left.
