Pool carved in the rocks near the village „Caloura“ -Picture 6451- Azoreans enjoy life. They are having siestas, take baths in hot springs or a swimming pool right in the rocks. They keep things real and natural.

Many people in Sao Miguel are not living a luxury life. But they find their ways to make their lives easy and convenient. People in Sao Miguel seem happy.

Down to the water in area „Lombadas“ -Picture 6620-

Another steep road leading down to a ruin. For centuries there has been a spring with fresh spring water. A company once bottled and sold the spring water. Many people still come here to fill up their water supply. The water tastes deliciously and is as bubbly as champagne.
